Reserves Booking tab

In the Reserves Booking tab you can schedule reserves booking operations for each well.

Booking Reserves in PetroVR

PetroVR offers two ways of booking reserves, with a slight difference in focus. The well Reserves Booking tab concentrates in booking reserves at well level, and therefore is more suited for attaining the highest level of detail, since it may take into account values defined for each well as well as the exact time that well starts producing. The Reserves Booking job, on the other hand, allows a simpler approach, where global data are recorded independent from the various times wells come into production.

The output of booking reserves is viewed in the Results Window Results Window; it can also be exported to PetroVR Econ as an input variable.

The following options exist to choose the title under which the reserves will be booked:

  • Deactivate All / Activate AllDeactivate All / Activate All: Deactivate all loaded bookings without deleting them, or reactivate them.
  • Adopt Used: Load all titles already loaded in other wells.
  • Load from CatalogLoad from Catalog: Choose a title from the Reserves Booking Catalog, or create a new one.

A separate Well Reserves Booking pane will appear for each title loaded.

Well Reserves Booking Pane

Each Well Reserves Booking pane shows its corresponding title. Check the box next to it to activate / deactivate the booking.

  • Book these reserves: Choose fluids to be booked. The amount can be entered manually or by selecting the Compute button to let PetroVR calculate it based on the Well Reserves entered in the Well Details Tab.
  • Book at: Choose at which facilities the reserves will be booked, and whether the reservoir should be added too (check the Reservoir <name> box to do this.) Note that if a facility starts operating at a later date than the one defined, the results will be booked the day the facility comes online.
  • Book when: Choose one of the following events that will trigger the booking:
    • The well is drilled.
    • The well starts producing.
    • a given job finishes - when selected, choose a job from the dropdown list.
  • For any of these options you can additionally define a Time Lag, i.e., a lapse of time between the fulfillment of the event and the actual booking.
  • Delete: Permanently delete this booking.
  • Add to CatalogAdd to Catalog: Create a new title with the booked reserves values entered here. You will be prompted for a name.
